One, two, three strikes you’re out has worked wonders for the Lady Bulldogs as the season opened with a short streak during the first days of the 2024 season.

Cedartown knocked down Pepperell in a 9-1, 5-inning victory to start things off this past weekend in a homestand with the Lady Dragons to kick off the regular season, then took a pair of region victories at home on Tuesday over Southeast Whitfield and Woodland-Cartersville’s squads.

The Lady Bulldogs topped the Lady Raiders on August 6 in 5-4 win, then on Thursday knocked the Lady Wildcats out in a 13-1, 4-inning rout.

These early wins already has the Lady Bulldogs at the top of a new Region 7-4A as a new coach has also taken over leadership of the team this year.

Head Coach Josh Smith opened his career as an educator earlier this year, and as a new coach also is starting off with the Lady Bulldogs this season with a 3-win spree.

After a weekend break, Cedartown is back in region play in a double-header at home against the Hiram Lady Hornets on Tuesday, August 13, then travel on Thursday, August 15 against Allatoona as the Lady Buccaneers host a double header.

Region matchups continue in single games on August 19 hosting Cass, August 20 in a trip to Dalton and August 22 with a trip to Cartersville.
