The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs have had a rough start to their week. After taking a 9-3 loss to the Rockmart Lady Jackets, they had hopes of bouncing back and starting region play on the road at Central Carroll with some wins under their belts.

Unfortunately, that plan didn’t work out.

Central in a doubleheader took a 4-2 win over the Lady Bulldogs in the first game, then a 8-4 victory over Cedartown in the second during the August 24 road trip.

That put the Lady Bulldogs at 3-5 on the season overall and placed them at 0-2 in region play. A chance for getting one of the games back when they return home on Thursday, August 26 to face Central to finish out the three-game series starts at 5 p.m.

Cedartown’s schedule coming up will be tough. The Lady Bulldogs face Haralson and Mt. Zion in back-to-back games in Tallapoosa on Saturday, then a three-game series in region play next week against Pickens County.
