Announced just minutes ago, some good news after some bad. The Rockmart Yellow Jackets will be playing football this week after all.

The Jacket nation will be heading to Villa Rica on Saturday, August 28, 2021, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Refunds are available for fans who purchased tickets for the Rockmart at Cedartown game ahead of time, per the Rockmart High School Facebook page.

Those are only for those who purchased tickets directly from the school or via Raceway. GoFan purchases require individuals to work with the website directly for a refund.

The 0-1 Jackets were set to play Cedartown, who is under a 10-day teamwide suspension of football activities due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases reported in teammates.

Now they’ll face an 0-1 Wildcats who are coming off of a 24-14 loss to Pope.
