Both Cedartown and Rockmart’s 10-and-under softball squads will be playing in the state tournament that is coming to the Nathan Dean Sports Complex starting on June 22.
The 10-and-under team for Cedartown was announced as a participant earlier in the week, and the Rockmart team in the Live Arm A/B/C 10-and-under girls for softball get to play as this year’s tournament host.
The 2021 GRPA tournament will be bringing teams in from around the state for its start on Tuesday, June 22 and it’ll continue until a champion is crowned through Thursday, June 24.
Six teams are representing departments from around the state in this year’s tournament, which is just one of the latest to bring in players from around Georgia and the Southeast to the Nathan Dean Sports Complex over the past years.
Rockmart will have to play the District 7 champ to get an opportunity to play Cedartown’s team in the second game in the bracket.
Fannin County was set to play, but have already forfeited to Putnam according to the brackets online.
