Teams are taking the opportunity to get Cedartown football’s talent on their radar in hopes they might come play, and one player is getting some recent attention from growing programs.
Coastal Carolina is the latest school looking to give Demarcus Gardner a chance to play on Saturdays, and Gardner is glad that his skills on the gridiron are getting attention over the past months.
“I’m more than honored to be blessed with the offers I have so far,” Gardner told PolkSportsWire over Twitter on Wednesday evening after he posted about his latest offer from the Chanticleers.
The Cedartown junior playing on both sides of the ball has also received offers already from Arkansas State, Troy, Georgia Southern and UNC Charlotte since the start of 2023. He’s the latest member of the Class of 2025 to get offers from college football programs even before their senior year.
Gardner plays defensive back and wide receiver for the Bulldogs.
He and his teammates get to take the field for the first time this season against another opponent in their home scrimmage against Cass.
