The Rockmart Yellow Jackets didn’t have the night they hoped for, but despite the outcome one player stood out on the squad over the weekend-long game.
Nate Davis on offense had nine carries for 33 yards against a stout Cedartown defense, but on the other side of the ball he shined as well.
He netted a 11 tackles in total – 7 solo and 4 assists – in the 24-3 loss to Cedartown.
The performance netted him the Football Player of the Week Award from the squad. He was given a commemorative ball as well.
RHS educator Ahren Jones was named Rockmart Football Teacher of the Week alongside Davis.
