The Rockmart Yellow Jackets Cross Country teams got to run around one of the most beautiful courses they’ll see all season this past Labor Day Weekend at an event hosting teams from around the state.

The Jackets finished 14th overall and the Lady Jackets took 13th in races that included much larger squads like Marietta, Hillgrove, Newnan, Ware County and many more.

Top runners for the race were Trista Landgren, who took the 38th spot with a time of 23:18 in the Lady Jackets race, and 52nd in the boys race for Jacket runner Tristan McDonald, who finished at 19:22.
