Bulldogs won’t play Friday night at Calhoun

Expect Cedartown back on the gridiron against New Manchester

After having to call off one of the biggest games of any Cedartown Bulldogs football season, the upcoming contest on the schedule this Friday will be called off too.

Abrams reported this evening the Bulldogs won’t be traveling to play at Calhoun on Friday night. He did not yet know whether the Bulldogs would try to reschedule the game for Saturday or later in the season.

Cedartown was forced out of their game against rival Rockmart this past Friday after more than 8% of the team reported cases of COVID-19. The team was placed on a 10-day quarantine and football activities, which ends on Friday.

The Jackets ended up heading to Villa Rica and took a 28-21 win on the road this past Saturday night.

Without the game this coming Friday, the Bulldogs head into the following week with a contest with New Manchester on their home turf.

Check back for additional updates about the Bulldogs football season as they become available.
