The Rockmart Yellow Jackets were planning to host Senior Night on Friday, but now the game has been moved up a day to Thursday night to accommodate the officials, or lack thereof to cover the game.
Because a busy Friday night is ahead for the Etowah Valley Officials Association, and some of the normal members aren’t available to cover games, the Rockmart game had to be moved up to Thursday night.
Rockmart’s Senior Night celebrations will begin prior to kickoff at The Rock.
Game time is set for 7 p.m.
Since the game has been moved, we will be on the sidelines Thursday and Friday night this week.
Make sure to bundle up! The forecast calls for a low of 34 on Thursday night, meaning game time temps will be in the 50s and down into the 40s before the finish.
Rockmart plays a thus far winless Gordon Central at 0-7, who are at the bottom of the region with Murray County at 0-3 so far on the season.
