Rockmart High’s wrestling squad has been given all kinds of honors over the past months and years for top performances by individuals and through team effort. Now it’s the coaches turn to be honored.
RHS’s staff were honored with two awards from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (specifically the assistants) for the Georgia Staff of the Year and the Section 3 Staff of the Year, covering 8 different states in the southeast region. That includes teams from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.

This year’s coaches had a lot of talent work with: seven individual scholar all-Americans, six different individual state champs, a team state title, a duals state title, and three different seniors committing to wrestle at the collegiate level (at least.)
