The longtime head of the Cedartown boys basketball program stepped down from his job today as coach following a losing run for the Bulldogs in 2022-23.

Principal Scott Hendrix reported this afternoon to PolkSportsWire that Frazier stepped down from his role as the boys basketball coach. He had headed a program that has struggled in recent years, but this year hit what might be the lowest point with an 0-23 record to finish out the season.

The past four seasons, the Bulldogs have finished around .500 (two seasons with losing records) and have made the playoffs, but never past the first or second round.

Cedartown without a win in boys basketball this year finished last in Region 7-4A.

Frazier additionally served on the sidelines as an assistant with the football team under former head coach Doyle Kelley.

Hendrix did not have any further comment at this time.

The school will begin a search in the coming days for a new head coach for the boys basketball program.
