Before making plays on the football field over the weekend, Jake Bailey last week made sure his next step in life was covered.
Bailey will be joining the Owls baseball program when he graduates with the Class of 2024 this coming spring after he signed his paperwork to confirm he’ll be attending Kennesaw State University.
Rockmart High hosted a ceremony for Bailey’s signing on Friday afternoon, November 10 in the cafeteria.
Bailey was joined by his family, fellow players and coaches for the event.
He had this to say on Twitter back in August when he announced he was committing to the Owls:
First off, I thank God for blessing me. Thank you to my parents, coaches, and friends that have helped me reach my goals. Special thanks to my brother for always pushing me to work harder. With that being said, I’ll be committing to Kennesaw State University! Go Owls!! #OneKS
Along with baseball, Bailey has been a big part of the football offense and defense over the past years. He also plays basketball.
