FILE -Tae Harris announced on Sunday morning he was going to decommit from UGA.

Cedartown High’s Tae Harris was set to be the latest Cedartown name to head to Athens, but now that deal is off.

Reports are out and confirmed by Harris that he will be entertaining all offers after he announced that he was de-committing from the University of Georgia football program when he graduates.

Harris has offers from multiple Division I schools – in-state and around the country – that gives him multiple options inside and out of the Southeastern Conference where he was planning to go.

He posted the following to his X account:

Please respect my decision 🙏🙏 GODS PLAN!

He announced his plans to leave the school – along with link to multiple articles covering the decision – earlier this morning.

Harris also posted a pic from his visit to Georgia Tech:

Along with a visit to Atlanta, Harris made a trip to Gainesville in recent weeks as well.

Harris is one of Cedartown’s top performers on both sides of the ball. He on the offensive side of the ball had 87 carries for 421 yards, plus 221 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and with kick and punt returns put on a 776 yard season for the Bulldogs in his junior year.

He’ll be back on the field for his senior year in August.
