The courthouse took on a rather partisan tone in Polk County as the Cedartown Bulldogs took over the front steps of the facility to introduce the team, cheer squads, band and finally take care of some business.

Teammates gathered around a 55-gallon drum full of wood and doused the whole thing in lighter fluid to continue the tradition of the burning of the Yellow Jacket ahead of this coming Friday’s rivalry matchup to open the 2024 high school football season.

This year was the fourth annual Bulldog Bash held in downtown Cedartown, providing an opportunity for the community to connect with the teams who bring Friday night lights fun to the Doc every season.
