News outlets around the country are reporting the positive progress being made by Nick Chubb and that a second surgery to repair his knee injured early in the season.
Cedartown’s own All-Pro running back underwent a second surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn ACL ligament, the second surgery this fall for the Cleveland Brown. The team put out a statement that head team physician James Voos repaired the damage caused by a hit in the Cleveland-Pittsburgh game on Week 2 of the season.
Chubb is expected to come back to the team in 2024.
This is Chubb’s second knee injury after a season-ender in 2015 while playing for Georgia in their matchup with Tennessee. Both injuries some eight years apart occurred in the same knee.
Outpouring of support for the Browns “Batman” has grown following the injury that knocked him out in the Pittsburgh game.
Chubb was on track to try for another 1,000+ yard season for the Browns. He has gone four seasons in a row posting a thousand yards for the Browns on the ground, and was four short in his rookie season. He sits at a career 6,511 yards currently and 48 touchdowns for the Browns. That doesn’t include 1,000+ yards receiving over his six years in the league, and four touchdowns in the air from several quarterbacks under center for Cleveland since Chubb was drafted in 2018.
