The Rockmart Recreation Department is getting ready for the months ahead as signups are now open for fall sports, but those who want to get their kids in on the action have until early July to complete the process and pay the fees.
The recreation department will be featuring four different sports for the fall season, including the annual favorite football in two flavors. Signups this year are coming to a close by July 7, with just over a month to go for families to get involved this year.
Rockmart’s recreation plans to field teams for 8-and-under, 10-and-under and 12-and-under tackle football, and 6-and-under flag football this year. They’ll also have cheerleading for 6-and-under, 8-and-under, 10-and-under and 12-and-under cheerleading.
Five age groups of soccer are available for the 2023 fall season, from 6-and-under through 14-and-under teams.
Note that 6-and-under is limited to 4 to 6 year old youth who want to participate.
