The Bowdon Red Devils were the latest to feel the early-season sting of a Rockmart Yellow Jackets

Rockmart’s boys took another double digit win, putt up an 87-49 victory over Bowdon this past Thursday, November 30.

Treylin Davis put up a 27-pointer to end their week, with Samuel Johnson hitting 14 and a trio of Jackets going into double digits: Trey Luke, Easton Petty and Hunter Atkins all hit 11 on the night.

Davis and Johnson after three games are leading the team in scoring, with Davis picking up 77 points and Johnson hitting 70 after the openers at home.

The Lady Jackets won in a 73-41 victory over the Lady Red Devils. A box score wasn’t up by the time this was posted.

After Heard County beat both Cedartown teams over the weekend, now they’ll be making the trip to Rockmart as the Jackets seek to keep their undefeated streak alive.

The Lady Braves open the varsity night at the Rock with tipoff at 6 p.m. against the Lady Jackets. Rockmart follows at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Braves sit at 3-0 coming into the game, while the Braves sit at 2-1 heading into Tuesday.

The teams take their first road trip as the week comes to an end on Friday, December 8 at Gordon Central in region play, and Saturday, December 9 for a road game against Cartersville.
