The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs have a chance to get a few more wins under their belts and a shot at the playoffs for 2024, but they have to play a resilient game going forward with a tough Heritage Lady Generals on tap for Friday night.

Cedartown is looking for a win after falling to Northwest Whitfield 46-42 on Tuesday evening, but have a chance to still be in contention for the playoffs if they can hold onto the fourth place spot in Region 7-4A as the final stretch of the regular season closes out in early February.

Heritage will be the first test as the Lady Generals come in with the top spot in the region, with Sonoraville in second and Northwest Whitfield in third place.

Following Friday’s game with Heritage, Cedartown will have a rematch with the Rockmart Lady Jackets on the road on Saturday and round out the region schedule with upcoming matchups with Sonoraville and Central on the road on Jan. 30 and February 2, with the season closer at home on Feb. 6 hosting Southeast Whitfield.

Central and Southeast Whitfield are in fifth and sixth place in the region currently, so those could be the opportunities the Lady Bulldogs seek to remain in contention for the playoffs this year.
