Congratulations goes out to Cedartown baseball player Chance White, who is going to get a chance to play on the college level when he graduates from high school.

White will be heading to play for Voorhees University, located in Denmark, South Carolina. The Tigers play in the Continental Athletic Conference, a division within the NAIA.

The senior outfielder was joined by his parents Monica and Jose White, his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, cousins, teammates and coaches for the celebration on Thursday at Cedartown High to sign his letter of intent to play with the private college.

Signing Day for White came just after Cedartown’s victory on Wednesday over rival Rockmart at home. White will join the squad for a return game against the Jackets on Saturday on the road at RHS.

White plays a role as a utility outfielder for the Bulldogs and is a solid defender, and so far has appeared in two outings for Cedartown so far on the young season.
