The Cedartown Bulldogs are keeping their season on the right side of the win column, and have the chance to keep the streak alive.

The Bulldogs opened the season officially last week on Monday with a 10-0 win over the Calhoun Yellow Jackets (a longtime foe of the Bulldogs on many fields of play) in a trip to Gordon County on February 13.

Cedartown then put up a 11-1 victory over the Darlington Tigers the following day, dealing a Valentine’s the Rome-based team didn’t quite enjoy in their 2023 meeting.

They’ve followed that up with a Monday win over the North Atlanta Warriors, defending the home diamond with an 8-3 win.

An upcoming Georgia Dugout Tournament kicks off several back-to-back games on the schedule. The Bulldogs are at LakePoint on Friday facing off against a 2-3 North Forsyth, then have East Paulding and Walton on the schedule for Saturday in a double-header.

Rockmart is on the schedule in the annual rivalry showdown on March 1, with a return trip over to the east side of the county on March 4. The Bulldogs also host Pepperell on March 3.
